The word episcopal means “of or relating to bishops,” and the leaders in the Episcopal Church are bishops.
The Episcopal Church is a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. The Anglican Communion has some 70 million members in more than 160 countries. The Anglican Communion is guided by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Rowan Williams.
The Episcopal Church of the United States, an independent province, is led by our Primate and Presiding Bishop, the Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Shori. We belong to the Diocese of Northern Indiana where our Bishop is the Right Reverend Edward Little. Our new Rector is Father Roger Bower.
